As a Housing Advisor, James spends most of his time providing practical guidance, support and legal advice to students living in the private sector; this could be private halls, flats or houses, or with a live-in landlord. This involves answering your questions, checking your contract before you sign, or providing in-depth legal advice and negotiating on your behalf if things go wrong.
Aysev Ismail Crime Prevention & Personal Safety Advisor, UCL Security
Aysev’s role is primarily to provide crime prevention and personal safety advice to students. This can range from tips on staying safe and secure in both London and student accommodation, to what to do should an incident occur. She is also a Police Liaison Officer. Students can contact her with safety concerns, or if they have been a victim of crime and don’t feel confident reporting to the Police.
